Cool Effect - Value Proposition

Biz Challenge: Environmental nonprofit, Cool Effect, had a unique challenge: their product is invisible. Through audience research we discovered that not being able to see the problem (carbon dioxide (CO2) being released into the atmosphere) made it incredibly difficult for potential donors to understand the solution their money was going towards (building technologies that reduce how much CO2 is released into the atmosphere).

Audience: Environmentally concerned Gen Xers & Millennials

Marketing Objectives: Make the invisible visible. Rather than describe the impact we each have on the environment, show people.

Solution: By showing the carbon emissions of relatable day-to-day actions, wrapping societies emissions in the context of history, and giving individuals an ownable number of tonnes they themselves emit each year we increased site traffic, email captures and conversions.
